One of the handful of causes of these motorcycle deaths is distracted driving, which usually falls on those motorists driving with four wheels. Distracted driving is defined as driving while engaged in another activity that diverts attention away from driving. This includes talking or texting on a cell phone, adjusting the stereo, GPS or temperature controls, eating and drinking, or talking to passengers in your vehicle – really anything that keeps your attention away from practicing safe driving.

As it stands, it is already difficult to see motorcyclists on the road. Since they are small, motorcycles tend to fall in blind spots. Motorists that are driving distracted only increase their chances of causing a motorcycle accident.
