Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Accident That Involved School Bus

A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries when he crashed into a school bus in Marlboro, New Jersey.

According to law enforcement, the motorcycle accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on School Road East in the area of Bella Vista Court in Marlboro, NJ. The motorcycle reportedly collided with a school bus traveling on the roadway.

Thankfully, none of the children on board the school bus suffered any injuries as a result of the motor vehicle accident. At this time, authorities have not officially indicated how many students were on the bus when the motorcycle crashed into the transportation vehicle. However, a police officer at the scene of the vehicle collision spoke with the media and said that there were just two people, the school driver and a high school student, on the bus when accident occurred.

After the accident, local law enforcement shut down School Road East for a few hours while police officers investigated the motorcycle accident.

Meanwhile, the injured motorcyclist was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Once the motorcycle rider got to the hospital, he was treated for serious accident-related injuries. Tragically, doctors at the hospital were unable to save the injured motorcyclist; he was pronounced dead sometime after arriving at the medical facility.

The motorcycle accident victim was just 28 years old when he passed away. It is not clear if he was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the motorcycle collision.

At this time, law enforcement is still trying to determine who may have been at fault for the fatal motorcycle crash. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Analysis Team is conducting an investigation.
